Oh the lovely teapot. Such variation throughout time and culture and use, but always a little guy with a handle and spout, an ultimate sign of hospitality. Also a pain to make. From a tight fitting lid that allows air to enter and prevent gurgling, to a spout that is the right height and length, that also strictly cuts off the flow without dribbling while also looking aesthetic enough to be the center piece at an event, and a handle that balances the whole piece, all having to be thrown separate from the body and attached well enough to survive the heat shock of warm liquid over those joins. There is a reason many people who turn to pottery for fun make one teapot and then never again. But I love making them from time to time, and while I am no master and these are far from perfect, I hope you still find them to your liking.

Teapots should not be exposed to direct flame or a burner. That is what a kettle is for. If you put it on a burner it will explode hot liquid.
